At BSI we believe it’s really important for young people to understand about standards: what they are, what they do and the positive impact they have on organisations, the economy and society as a whole.

Through our education programmes we aim to engage with university students and young professionals who are thinking about their transition from education to employment, starting to establish their careers or their professional practice and who may be thinking about becoming a leader or manager in their organisations.

During any of these stages it’s really important for these young people to understand the role that standards play as an important business tool. We work closely with universities, trade associations and professional bodies to engage this next generation of standards-makers providing different ways for them to connect with BSI and the standards world. Successful standards draw on the widest range of expertise and opinion as possible.

We want young people to get involved in standards to bring their bright ideas and fresh perspective to the world of standards making to help shape the future of their sectors.
