The BSI Greenhouse Gas Qualification is a pathway for you to build up a full range of ‘carbon reduction’ knowledge and skills to help you become equipped to build and drive your organization towards its net-zero path.

Which qualification will I achieve?

On completion, you will be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate, and on successful completion of your qualification, you’ll receive a BSI Mark of Trust that can be shared across within your organization and across your network of contacts.

The Greenhoues Gas Professional qualification includes:

Quantifying the carbon footprint of products (14067:2018)
Calculating the carbon footprint of products (CFP) is becoming increasingly relevant for businesses that want to demonstrate to their customers that they are reducing the GHG emissions of the products that they consume. This course will help you to:
- Comprehend the key principles for determining the carbon footprint of a product
- Quantify and report on the GHG emissions of your product(s).
Climate Change Management – Carbon Neutrality (ISO 14068-1:2023)
Learn the key principles and practices of carbon neutrality, following a hierarchy on the pathway to Net Zero outlined by ISO 14068-1. This course will help individuals to:
- Know and understand the key terms, definitions, and process of becoming carbonneutral
- Learn the differences and relationship between carbon neutrality and net zero
- Understand the relationship between carbon neutrality and associated GHG emissions and removals quantification and reporting requirements
- Plan the activities necessary to achieve carbon neutrality status
- Know and identify when carbon offsetting is appropriate and how carbon credits work
- Appreciate the importance of verifying/validating declarations of carbon neutrality
- GHG/carbon reduction and management professionals, developing and leading the implementation of carbon reduction management programs.
- Functional head, project leader, senior consultant
- Lead verifier, lead assessor, lead auditor, lead implementer
Prerequisites
Completion of an Greenhouse Gas Practitioner qualification to move on to the Greenhouse Gas Professional qualification.
Each qualification is assessed by online examinations taken with 30 days of the associated course ending.
