Validate BSI-issued certificates

BSI verified profiles were developed to support the adoption of PAS 7000 – Supply Chain Risk Management, a supply chain pre-qualification framework that supports procurement activity for businesses of all sizes, all sectors and across the globe.

The Basic Locations comprises the company details, contact information and BSI certificates held.

The Verified Locations comprises, in addition to the above, 28 sources of information derived from PAS 7000 Organization Profile and Capabilities & Capabilities modules including: site photographs verified by the BSI Auditor, other system and product certifications, site information such as size of warehouse or storage facilities, years of operation, key export markets, output/manufacturing capacity and a map to confirm the location.

Not all directories are the same. Some only list suppliers based on the supplier registering with them or paying them a fee. In some cases, the supplier isn’t validated that they exist. The risk is compounded by the fact that suppliers aren’t differentiated or classified between direct and indirect suppliers. Direct suppliers being real manufacturing or service facilities versus indirect suppliers consisting of agents, wholesales, domestic importers and other intermediaries.

This is where the BSI verified locations make a difference – because we have visited their site, we know for certain they are who they say they are – it’s all been verified.
