Kate Field
Kate Field (CMIOSH)- Global Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing at BSI
Kate Field drives BSI’s global strategy for creating a safer and healthier workplace. An ambassador for cultural change, that puts wellbeing, equality, safety and health at the forefront, Kate inspires colleagues and stakeholders globally to make a difference.
With over 20 years’ industry experience in occupational health, safety and wellbeing, Kate is a recognized consultant, trainer, lecturer, and speaker. Prior to joining BSI, Kate was Head of Information and Intelligence at the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, leading on H&S research strategy and technical content globally.
Kate started her career with the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) in the UK, first as a regulatory Inspector, and then into policy where she led initiatives to tackle workplace health risks. Kate has several years of consultancy experience in securing, developing, and delivering health and safety programmes for several international clients.
Richard White
Richard White (CMIOSH) - Global QHSE Director, GWS | Local at CBRE
Richard is responsible for creating and implementing the Global QHSE strategy and supporting programmes for the Local & DCS business, working with his QHSE Leadership team, safeguarding 29,000 employees across an 800+ client base. The global QHSE strategy applies across all three regions (APAC, EMEA and the US) and consists of the following elements:
Leadership;
Ownership and Engagement;
Risk Management;
Management Systems;
Competency;
Audit and Assurance, and
Performance Management.
Richard joined CBRE in 2016 as QHSE Director for Global Workplace Solutions EMEA working to ensure the integration of all parts of the business following the 2013 acquisition of Norland Services and Johnson Controls in 2015. He moved into the global role with the establishment of the Global Local business in 2021.
Prior to joining CBRE he spent nine years with Mitie Group PLC, initially as QHSE Director and subsequently as Enterprise Risk Director, sitting on the Executive Board and responsible for managing all elements of the operational risk profile and implementing a governance, risk and compliance framework. Prior to his time with Mitie Richard worked in a senior QHSE position for Rexam, the FTSE 100 packaging company in an EMEA role, and for IBM.
