There are gains to be made when supply chains are more adaptive, reactive and collaborative across sectors. But how’s that to be achieved?
The Ventilator Challenge accelerated innovation in unprecedented ways, demonstrating how supply chains from various sectors can work together more effectively and respond rapidly to changing customer demand.
BSI hosted in collaboration with High Value Manufacturing Catapult a free webinar which looks at the lessons we can learn from how the Ventilator Challenge enabled automotive and aerospace manufacturers to quickly produce medical devices; and what it could mean for future flexible supply chains.
The webinar features speakers from HVM Catapult and from the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, University of Sheffield. It covers:
• The eight elements that led to the success of the Ventilator Challenge consortium
• What we’ve learned about the different management systems in auto, aero and medical devices (ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS 9100) and what it means for regulatory compliance across sectors
• The relevance of international good practice such as ISO 44001 (collaborative business) and ISO 56000 (innovation management)
• The role of culture and digital technologies
What will participants gain?
A better understanding of the culture that encourages stronger cross-sector collaboration and supply chain innovation between manufacturers and partners.
