This qualification allows AIMS auditors to lead, plan, manage and implement an Audit Plan and gain the understanding of the concepts which underpin ISO/IEC 22989:2023 as a normative reference in ISO/IEC 42001:2023. It also empowers them to give practical help and information to those who are working towards certification and also provides the knowledge and skill required to carry out 2nd party auditing (suppliers and subcontractors).

Which qualification will I achieve?

ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Lead Auditor Practitioner Qualification

On successful completion of the qualification, you’ll receive a BSI Mark of Trust that can be shared within your organisation and across your network of contacts.

In addition, you will be awarded an internationally recognized BSI training course certificate for each of the completed courses and exams.

You will have the knowledge to explain the purpose and business benefits of:
- Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS),
- AIMS standards (History, terms, definitions, concepts and principles)
- Management system audit
- Third-party certification
- The role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an AIMS audit in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 where appropriate)
You will have the skills to:
- Lead the development and structure audit activities
- Prepare audit activities
- Lead the conduct of the audit activities
- Prepare an audit report
- Complete the audit
- Conduct audit follow-up actions
- Those wishing to Lead audits of AIMS in accordance with ISO/IEC 42001:2023 (either as a 2^nd party, or 3^rd party auditor)
