The BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging Materials helps packaging organizations deliver products that help support the delivery of safe, hygenic food. By using a hazard and risk-based approach that addresses site cleanliness standards, printed packaging controls, product inspection and the control of foreign bodies, certified organizations and their customers can be confident in the resulting in the quality management system. BRCGS Version

The BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging Materials issue 6 was published and released in August 2019, to replace issue 5 after the final draft (released in January 2019) had been reviewed and amended. The first BRCGS Packaging audits and certification to issue 6 of BRCGS Packaging audits and certification to issue 6 of the BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging Material commenced in February 2020.
