    This course aims to give those tasked with preparing and receiving information exchanges an understanding of the benefits and criteria and the encapsulation of these ideas in standards and best practice, to enable you, to develop detailed implementation plans.

    This course will help you in obtaining the benefits of the ISO 19650 / UK BIM
    Framework digital information exchange between design/supply chain and the
    client/operator. The importance of the CDE process and of checking information
    deliverables in establishing trust.

    • Make decisions about information schema and format and the criteria for checking
    • Understand the roles and responsibilities in checking
    • Check information exchanges

    • You will gain the knowledge to:

      • Explain the value of information
      • Use ISO 19650 Part 4 for information requirements and delivery documentation
      • Understand the factors in choosing software, schemas and formats
      • Check information exchanges
      • Understand a specific information exchange such as handover and national
        conventions as examples
    • Design and construction and asset managers charged with delivering and receiving information exchanges, typically during an ISO 19650 (UK BIM Framework) project or in-use phase

    • Delegates looking to attend this course should have management engagement with project and portfolio activities.

      Before following this course, it is recommended to send those charged with day-to-day collaborative BIM implementation on the ISO 19650 Part 2 or ISO 19650 Part 3 course.
