The IATF’s Global Waivers and Measures in Response to the Coronavirus Pandemic
COVID-19 has had far-reaching impacts on the global automotive sector and changed the way people work. Maintaining IATF 16949 certification at this critical time has been of paramount importance for automotive manufacturers, as has the safety of employees, customers and visitors.
Following the publication of Revision 5 of IATFs Global Waivers and Measures in Response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) on 31 October 2020, BSI is now able to offer IATF 16949 audits remotely, using proven methods and tools, in approved circumstances.
Subject to eligibility criteria, BSI can audit remotely, helping IATF 16949 clients who successfully complete their audit to retain certification at this critical time.
BSI has been successfully delivering remote audits throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, and first started implementing remote audits for the aerospace AS 91XX series scheme 2 years ago.
