    The Balanced Scorecard methodology builds on some key concepts of management ideas such as Total Quality Management (TQM), management objective with a balanced perspective on customer focus continual improvement, employee empowerment, and -- primarily -- measurement-based management and feedback.

    At the highest level, the Balanced Scorecard is a framework that helps organisations translate strategy into operational objectives that drive both behavior and performance. This is also an effective tool for aligning business objectives with project initiatives such as Business Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
