This course will give you an overview of OHS management systems, the requirements of ISO 45001, OHS management documentation and the process approach. You'll learn the principles and practices of effective management systems process audits and be guided through the entire internal audit process, from planning an audit to reporting on audit results and following up on corrective actions. You'll also learn the responsibilities of a Lead Auditor and how to effectively lead an audit team.

This course will teach you how to implement an OHS management system and how it can benefit your organization, as well as giving you the skills to plan, perform and lead management systems audit.

- Fully understand the requirements ISO 45001:2018 and how to implement it within your business.
- You'll be able to identify the principles of auditing and auditor responsibilities, plan an internal audit, conduct opening and closing meetings, conduct an audit based on process identification, sampling and questioning and effectively report on an audit and provide feedback.
- You'll also be able to select and allocate audit team members, define audit team roles and responsibilities and leading teams to reach consensus.
- Following successful completion, you’ll receive a BSI Certificate of Attainment.

- Clauses 4-10 of ISO 45001:2018
Days 3 & 4
- Introduction and benefits of auditing
- First, second- and third-party auditing
- Preparing work documents, audit plans and schedules
- Conducting the audit
- Audit reports
- Opening & Closing meetings
- Evidence, audit conclusions and corrective actions
This course offers two optional course exams. One for the requirements of ISO 45001 and another covering Management Systems Auditing.

On completion of the exams, you will receive a BSI Certificate of Attainment. If you choose not to sit the exam, you will receive a Certificate of attendance for the course.
