At BSI we work in partnership with our local communities and encourage colleagues to play an active role. Our aim is to contribute positively to the communities within which we work.

Volunteering, insight days, work experience and guest lectures

Volunteering
Our colleagues often volunteer their time to support students; they host insight days, deliver presentations and workshops to school leavers, college and university students.  We also host work experience placements, internships and apprenticeships at a number of our offices across the globe and at our testing laboratories in the UK.

Supporting charities

Charitable giving
BSI supports colleagues’ fundraising efforts for charities. Our colleagues choose to take part in a variety of activities to raise funds for causes including cancer, clean water, education, Deaf and disabled people, heart disease, mental health, orphaned children and wildlife conservation. We provide financial contributions as well as second hand equipment such as electronic equipment and furniture to support those who need it.
