This program takes delegate from ground zero (Push Production) to Kanban Pull system with Heijunka. It includes overview of Lean Manufacturing tools and Value Stream Mapping as the basic knowledge required to steer towards implementing Kanban Pull system in an organization.
How will I benefit?
This training combines theory with multiple simulation activities to convey the concept of an end-to-end pull system in a high-mix manufacturing operations. Various Lean tools that are relevant to implementing Pull system are introduced. Delegates will experience hands-on approach through workshops and simulation activities.
Delegates will experience how an end-to-end pull system operates, the use of load-levelling and a load-levelling board to effectively replace traditional production scheduling for a high-mix condition
Our experienced tutors have practical application of the subject matter, enabling them to understand and meet your specific industry requirements.
Who should attend?
Lean leaders, managers, senior executives who are responsible to drive Lean initiatives, continuous improvements, and managing overall end-to-end lead time and inventory for the organization.
What will I learn?
Participants would be able to:
- Understand the current state of production (push production) and identify Wastes
- Know the lean tools and kaizens needed before implementing pull system
- Learn the various way to implement PULL (types of Pull system) and construct pull models
- Calculate safety stock and supermarket sizing
- Use of a signalling/trigger system to pull and replenish material consumed at production stations and keep material flowing through the production processes
- The concept of level loading demand
What is included?
On completion, you will be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate.
