Design of Experiment (DOE) is one of the most effective improvement tools today. It is a strategic, enabling methodology to improve process yields and product quality. At the same time, it reduces the product development time and overall costs by changing one or more process characteristics after studying their effects on the product. In recent years, DOE has been used by quality practitioners as a key driver for many quality improvement initiatives including Six Sigma.
This course addresses all the essentials of DOE to ensure a successful implementation of this improvement tool. In addition, the application of Minitab software in DOE implementation could further enhance the analysis process.
Note: Inclusive of Minitab trial version
How will I benefit?
The participants will be able to:
- understand how DOE can greatly improve product quality
- apply the full cycle of the DOE process (plan – conduct – analyze – implement).
- operate Minitab software in related to the DOE application
Who should attend?
This course is designed for front line managers, engineers or executives who are involved in quality improvement initiatives. Some basic statistics knowledge is required. In addition, it is also suitable for personnel who would like to learn basic Minitab software in DOE application.
What will I learn?
- Understand the foundation of the DOE methodology.
- Interpret and apply basic statistical tools related to DOE.
- Plan, conduct, analyze, and implement fundamental and practical industrial experiments.
- Understand the application of Minitab software to the DOE
For breakthrough quality improvements, learn more about Six Sigma. Start off with the Understanding Six Sigma course and progress through each level up to Black Belt competency!
What is included?
On completion, you will be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate.
