The Eight-Disciplines Problem Solving Technique (or 8D) was developed by the Ford Motor Company and is commonly used by the automotive industry. It provides a systematic and effective approach to solve a problem, and promotes the use of expertise and experience within an organization to address the root cause. Because of its proven methodology, the use of 8D is now made popular in the industry. The eight disciplines within 8D can be easily applied by all levels within any organization, and at the same time, provide a documented database of improvements.
This two-day training course will provide you with concepts and practical approaches to implement this problem solving technique within your organization.
This course is designed for team leaders, managers, executives, supervisors or facilitators who are responsible for solving problems in their workplace.
It is recommended that participants be exposed to basic problem solving techniques such as 7 QC Tools prior to attending this course.
This training course is HRD Corp claimable programme.
On completion, you will be awarded an internationally recognized BSI Training Academy certificate.
It is recommended that participants be exposed to basic problem solving techniques such as 7 QC Tools prior to attending this course. A basic, as well as an “advanced” level of the 7 QC Tools course is available and, participants are strongly recommended to attend either of these first for a holistic understanding of this subject matter.
