BRCGS for Food Safety Issue 9

BRCGS’s Food Safety Standard, the standard that impacted on over US$800 bn of product sales, was the first standard to be GFSI benchmarked. The Standard is now used by approximately 30,000 sites in 130 countries, and accepted by 70% of the top 10 global retailers, 60% of the top 10 quick-service restaurants, and 50% of the top 25 manufacturers in the World.

The final version of the standard is now being drafted taking into account comments from a public consultation, and is on track for the standard release on 01 August 2022. This webinar highlights an early view of the expected changes on issue 9 and where to begin the transition.

Hasfaniezam Bin Abu Hassan
Food Agri Sector Lead

Niezam graduated as a Food Technologist. He had started his career in Quality Assurance in the food manufacturing industry. Apart from assuring food processing line, his experience in the food industry also inclusive of research and development and developing the related Management System, such as FSMS, QMS, EMS and OHS. Niezam has worked in various food manufacturing area such as chocolate, oils, poultry, bakery and on upstream processing like cocoa powder.
