By taking this first step you’ll benefit from the most up to date and relevant training when you gain this Lead Auditor Practitioner qualification. The qualification gives you all the practical skills and detailed knowledge you need to confidently carry out a full environmental system (EMS) audit. Expert BSI trainers are your partner in learning for the duration of the qualification, and you can choose a face-to-face learning experience or use the online training courses to achieve the qualification. BSI will guide you through every step in the auditing process in line with the international management system auditing guidelines, ISO 19011:2018.

ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Practitioner qualification includes:

ISO 14001:2015 Requirements (4 hours eLearning)
- Understand the importance and benefits of an ISO 14001:2015 EMS
- Learn the key requirements, terms and definitions of ISO 14001:2015
- Be able to explain the structure of ISO 14001:2015 which incorporates the Annex SL common framework for management system standards
- Understand main concepts such as process approach, Plan-Do-Check-Act, lifecycle perspective, aspects and impacts.
ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor (5 days classroom – in-person or virtual)
- Understand the purpose and benefits of an EMS
- Learn the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011
- Gain the skills to plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 where appropriate)
Anyone with the need to audit an organization's ISO 14001:2015 EMS.
Each module is followed by a mandatory online multiple-choice examination. Delegates must pass the examination to be awarded the qualification.
After completing your Practitioner level qualification, why not undertake the next step and become an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Professional qualification holder. Professional level takes you beyond conformity audits and develops your ability to audit improvement initiatives.
