This nine-day upgrade training is designed to advance you as a qualified Green Belt to Black Belt level. You'll learn how to combine Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to create the best approach to resolve operational issues and improve process performance. As a Lean Sigma Black Belt you'll be a critical resource for your organization to ensure the successful implementation of Lean Sigma using methodologies such as DMAIC.
Get an in-depth understanding of both Lean and Six Sigma concepts, methods and tools, as well as the skills to successfully apply them within your organization to improve your critical business processes and drive success.
Prerequisites:
- You must have attended Service Lean Sigma Green Belt training by BSI
or
- A Lean Sigma knowledge assessment will need completing before attending this course (Note: It's compulsory that you pass this assessment)
- Candidate must have attended Service Lean Sigma Green Belt Training conducted by BSI.
- For candidate not previously by BSI, a Lean Sigma knowledge assessment will apply before course commencement. (Note: It is compulsory for candidates to pass this assessment)

This training course is HRD Corp claimable programme. You'll receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of this Lean Sigma Black Belt training with a minimum attendance of 90% per phase.
Black Belt certification requirements
Certification (Certified Lean Sigma Black Belt)
- Completion of Black Belt Training with a minimum attendance of 90% per phase
- Passing the BSI Upgrading to LSBB certification exam with the minimum score of 70%
- Completion of 1 Lean Sigma Black Belt project
- Completion of final report on the project and reviewed by BSI
- Project savings/benefits achieved to be validated and endorsed by finance/ senior management in your organization
You'll be given 8 months from completion of this training to complete the Lean Sigma project.
