ISO 39001 - Road traffic safety (RTS) management systems was created to save lives and reduce serious injuries on the road and is being associated with the UN decade of action on road safety.
It is the responsibility of organizations involved in road traffic systems and society as a whole to learn how to better reduce and minimize the risks. Our training courses are designed to help achieve this by helping you to understand the requirements of the standard including the development and implementation of an appropriate RTS policy, development of RTS objectives and action plans, taking into account legal and other requirements to which the organization subscribes, and information about elements and criteria related to RTS that the organization identifies as those which it can control and those which it can influence.
In the UK, organisations involved in the development committee included the Association of British Insurers, Association of Car Fleet Operators, Department for Transport and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
