Getting started with PAS 99 Integrated Management

PAS 99 is the world’s first specification for integrated management systems. So we developed PAS 99 using the ISO guide for writing management system standards.   Typical integrated management systems might include ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management, ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management, ISO/IEC 20000-1 Service Management, ISO 22000 Food Safety Management and ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management.

The PAS 2060 standard specifies a four-stage process to demonstrate carbon neutrality. This involves:

• Assessment of GHG emissions based on accurate measurement data
• Reduction of emissions through a target-driven carbon management plan
• Offsetting of excess emissions, often by purchasing carbon credits
• Documentation and verification through qualifying explanatory statements and public disclosure.
