Engaging with our local communities

We are proud to work with Room to Read, our global charity partner. Whether a girl stays in school is one of the strongest predictors of whether she will stay healthy, make a decent income, be engaged in her community and raise educated and healthy children. Together with Room to Read, BSI is helping girls in India pursue a quality secondary school education that enables them to reach their full potential.

Our colleagues often volunteer their time to support students; they host insight days, deliver presentations and workshops to school leavers, college and university students.  We also host work experience placements, internships and apprenticeships at a number of our offices across the globe and at our testing laboratories in the UK.

BSI supports colleagues’ fundraising efforts for charities. Our colleagues choose to take part in a variety of activities to raise funds for causes including cancer, clean water, education, Deaf and disabled people, heart disease, mental health, orphaned children and wildlife conservation. We provide financial contributions as well as second hand equipment such as electronic equipment and furniture to support those who need it.
