BSI India recently celebrated winning the Platinum level of Business Excellence Award at a glittering ceremony at the 26th CII Annual Quality Summit.
BSI India is the first company to achieve the Platinum Status at the first attempt. In India, most companies take 7-10 years to attain this level. Well done to all the team!
Mini Sharma, Director Assurance Services, and Kavita Kavanal, HR Director, received the award for BSI at a gala function attended by over 500 delegates from India's top companies. Pietro Foschi, Group Director, Assurance Services, was also present to witness this great moment.
What is the Business Excellence Award?
The Award is based on the European foundation of Quality Management (EFQM) and is assessed by CII Institute of Quality in India.
The Excellence Model is a non-prescriptive framework based on nine criteria. Five of these are 'Enablers' and four are 'Results'.
- The 'Enabler' criteria cover how an organization achieves its planned results through leadership, strategy, people, partnerships & resources, and processes, products & Services.
- The 'Results' criteria cover what an organization achieves with respect to their key stakeholders (customers, people, society and shareholders). The organization is assessed on the results with respect to satisfaction of key stakeholders based on their perceptions and the robustness of key processes to assure sustainability of good performance based on the key strategic outcomes. Results' are caused by 'Enablers.
The assessment was most extensive and covered People, Process and Performance. It used the approach, deployment and results for evaluation of our business and its excellence.
Speaking on the occasion, Venkataram Arabolu, Managing Director, BSI India said that achieving Platinum level in Business Excellence demonstrates making excellence a habit by the collective efforts of each person in the BSI India team, including our ER family. It reflects the passion and attachment to BSI India and our commitment to making excellence a habit.
