Download the report: The little book of biodiversity net gain
The latest World Wildlife Fund Living Planet Report warns that global wildlife populations declined by 69% on average from 1970 to 2018, and it’s our failure to properly value biodiversity that has caused its alarming decline. In an attempt to address the crisis, the ongoing UN biodiversity conference (COP15) plans to protect 30% of land and sea by 2030.
Biodiversity is fundamental to industry and society, with benefits ranging from providing resources to build critical infrastructure, to improving asset resilience to climate change or creating attractive environments for people to live in. Businesses and local authorities can play a leading role to restore biodiversity by achieving biodiversity net gain.
BSI has created a little book to help you understand what biodiversity net gain is and how standards can help you get prepared for it. Download your free copy today.
