BSI Kitemark for BIM asset life cycle

The renaming of BIM level 2 to BIM asset life cycle follows the publication of ISO 19650. The Kitemark for BIM asset life cycle is the benchmark in best practice, consolidating all project and asset information, documentation and data at the design and construction phases of a project using BIM processes.

Assessment standard

The assessment standard is ISO 19650 – Specification for information management for the operational phase of assets using building information modelling (BIM).

ISO 19650 provides guidance on how to integrate the management of asset information across the longer term activity of asset management with the shorter term maintenance activities for a portfolio.
