Mark Brown, Managing Director for Digital Trust at BSI (British Standards Institution), the business improvement company, has been accepted into Forbes Technology Council, an invitation-only community for world-class CIOs, CTOs, and technology executives.
Mark was vetted and then selected by a review committee based on the depth and diversity of his experience in cyber security and broader technology leadership. Criteria for acceptance included a track record of successfully impacting business growth metrics, as well as personal and professional achievements and honours.
“We are honoured to welcome Mark Brown into the community,” said Scott Gerber, founder of Forbes Councils, the collective that includes Forbes Technology Council. “Our mission with Forbes Councils is to bring together proven leaders from every industry, creating a curated, social capital-driven network that helps every member grow professionally and make an even greater impact on the business world.”
As an accepted member of the Council, Mark has access to a variety of exclusive opportunities achieved through connecting and collaborating with other respected local leaders in a private forum. Mark will also be invited to work with a professional editorial team to share his expert insights for original business articles on Forbes.com, and to contribute to published Q&A panels alongside other experts.
Finally, Mark will benefit from exclusive access to vetted business service partners, membership-branded marketing collateral, and the high-touch support of the Forbes Councils’ member concierge team.
Mark Brown, Managing Director, Digital Trust at BSI said: “I am delighted to have been accepted for membership to the Forbes Technology Council so soon after being appointed to my new role at BSI. Membership of the Council will provide invaluable access to other likeminded business leaders, technologists and cybersecurity professionals who collectively want to help protect the information, people and reputation of organizations.
“If 2020 and COVID-19 have taught us anything, it’s that no organization is safe from cyber threats and malicious actors, and as digitization and connectivity continue to grow across the world, organizations will need to remain aware. In all sectors, across all industry verticals, the aggregation of BSI and Forbes Technology Council expertise and experience will help ensure that our clients are compliant, safe, secure and resilient in their management of information risk and able to adapt to changing business needs."
