The first step in making an operational transformation is developing change agents to drive this initiative. This course is aimed at giving you the skills to become one of the most well-known change agents, a Lean expert.
This 9 day training programme is split into 2 phases, over 2 months. Attending this course will equip you with the practical knowledge on how to introduce Lean initiatives to the shopfloor. It'll take you through the philosophies, principles and techniques of Lean. Plus you'll develop the knowledge and skills to initiate continuous improvement projects, including project management and how to deal with implementation and change issues

Who should attend?
Managers, engineers, maintenance and production professionals responsible for production capacities, flexibility and responsiveness to meet demand.
You must be involved in and contribute to Lean Projects. Responsibilities that fulfil this criteria include:
- You're a project team leader or team member
- You contributes ideas on Lean tool application
- You're involved in data collection, analysis and solution implementation
Activities that do not fulfil this criteria : Attending meetings, reviewing reports and scheduling project related activities.

You'll receive a certificate of atendence upon completion of this Lean expert training with a minimum attendance of 80% per phase
Certification Criteria (Certified Lean expert) - Optional
- Complete Lean expert training with a minimum attendance of 80% per phase
- Complete of Understanding 5S principles (e-learning)
- Pass all the quizzes (during the programme and e-learning)
- Pass the Value stream mapping and analysis assessment (Phase 2)
- Complete 1 Lean project with application of at least 1 Lean tool from each of the 2 phases
- Project report submitted to and approved by BSI
- Projects savings / benefits achieved for the project must total more than SGD10,000 per annum
- Project results must impact 2 or more of the performance indicators related to quality, cost and delivery
- Project savings /benefits achieved to be validated and endorsed by finance / senior management of your organization
