BRCGS Packaging and Packaging Materials Standard Issue 5-6

The BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials revises from issue 5 to issue 6 in 2019, with the first BRCGS Packaging audits and certification to issue 6 of the BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials commencing in February 2020. Issue 6 of the BRCGS Packaging Standard is due to be released in August 2019, after the final draft (released in January 2019) has been reviewed and amended.

The BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials was the first packaging Standard to be globally recognised by GFSI (global food safety initiative) and as such, is a popular packaging standard for those operating within and supplying packaging to the food and drink industry. BRCGS Packaging and Packaging Materials certification can often be used as a competitive advantage for packaging suppliers when tendering for sales contracts in the food, beverage and FMCG industries.
