Programme Name: Managing Greenhouse Gas Emissions (ISO 14064 Parts 1,2 & 3)
This programme is one of the Eligible Programmes under the Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme .
The Scheme provides training subsidies to Hong Kong residents who are market practitioners and prospective practitioners of green and sustainable finance, namely students and graduates in relevant disciplines. After completing Eligible Programmes, applicants can apply for a subsidy of up to 80% of the relevant fees (full-time student applicants can apply for a subsidy of up to 100% of the relevant fees), subject to a ceiling of $10,000.
The reimbursement application should be submitted via the application portal of the Scheme within 3 months from the date of completion of the Eligible Programme.

Which qualification will i achieve?
Greenhouse Gas Practitioner
The journey to be a Managing Greenhouse Gas Emissions (ISO 14064) Training Course will take a total of 4 days of Greenhouse Gas Quantification and Emissions Management training course, and there will be an online examination which must be completed 30 days after the end of course.
Greenhouse Gas Professional
The journey to be a Greenhouse Gas Professional will take a total of 4 days of training including:
- Quantifying the Carbon Footprint of Products (ISO 14067:2018) (2 days)
- ISO 14068-1:2023 Climate Change Management – Carbon Neutrality Training Course
There will be an online examination which must be completed 30 days after the end of course.
How you can become certified
The certificate will be issued by BSI upon completion of the examination successfully.

The Greenhoues Gas Practitioner qualification comprises modules including:
ISO 14064-1:2018 Requirements
Develop an understanding of the key terms, definitions and requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018. Learn how the standard can help your organization to quantify its greenhouse gas emissions that is relevant, complete, consistent, accurate and transparent.
Carbon Management Planning (CMP)
This course focuses on the implementation of related standards, including ISO 14064, ISO 14068, and ISO 14090, that have been developed specifically to help organizations manage their GHG emissions, and address the risks associated with climate change.
Greenhouse Gas Verification and Validation (ISO 14064-3:2019)
This course will give you an understanding of the principles and processes involved in conducting verification and validation of GHG statements and GHG reports. You will also learn how to design a framework to measure and report on your organization’s GHG emissions.
