This course will introduce learners to sustainable procurement principles and practices, as outlined in existing international guidance, ISO 20400:2017.
The course explains how procurement is impacted by, and impacts on, issues of social, environmental, and economic sustainability.
Examples of sustainable procurement activity covering policy, strategy, and processes are detailed to illustrate how sustainability-related considerations may be implemented, in the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and with reference to current guidance on sustainable procurement, provided in ISO 20400:2017.
