    BSI hosted the IEC General Meeting 2024

    BSI was honoured to host the International Electrotechnical Commission GM 2024 in Edinburgh from 21-25 October.

    Leading the development of international electrotechnology standards

    More than 1,250 global experts attended the general meeting, technical committee and governance meetings to discuss best practice and future planning.

    • This marked the first time in 35 years the event was hosted in the UK.

    • BSI and partners hosted an Expo, and four Showcase Days on Smart Cities, AI, Quantum and Net Zero.

    • The theme for the 2024 GM was: 'Towards an all-electric and connected society'.

    • HRH The Princess Royal opened the IEC General Assembly.
