Projective Group recently achieved verification for the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (ISO14064-1), and certification of its net zero transition plan under the BSI Net Zero Pathway. This highlights the organization’s commitment to reducing emissions and achieving Net Zero using a science-based approach that is based on international standards.
The Net Zero Pathway audit, based on the ISO Net Zero Guidelines (IWA42:2022) confirms that Projective Group is actively implementing a robust carbon reduction plan. Unlike other approaches that rely on offsetting, the BSI Net Zero Pathway prioritises actual emissions reductions, ensuring that the organization is making genuine progress towards Net Zero.
The Pathway uses an organization’s verified carbon footprint data, carbon reduction plans and consideration of planned business growth to evaluate whether targets are realistic, achievable and will deliver net zero by 2050 or sooner.
The scheme is conducted over three phases, including an initial optional discovery workshop. Then the organization’s carbon footprint is verified against the requirements of ISO 14064-1, to ensure that reduction targets are set against an accurate baseline which has been independently verified. Finally, once a a business has implemented its carbon reduction plans, BSI audits these.
Matt Page, Managing Director UK & Ireland, Assurance, BSI said: “Congratulations to Projective Group for being announced as the first organization in the UK to be certified to the BSI Net Zero Pathway, building credibility in its journey to become and maintain net zero status. This will support Projective Group in building societal confidence in the progress the business is making to achieving net zero and accelerating progress on the climate transition to benefit people and planet.”
Stefan Dierckx, CEO, Projective Group said: “Completing these audits is a crucial step in ensuring that we not only set ambitious targets, but also implement the necessary actions to meet them. Our sustainability commitments are about making meaningful progress that benefits our clients, our people, and the planet.”
Will Thomas, Head of Sustainability, Projective Group: “Third party verification of our GHG report and transition plan sends a clear message to our clients and other stakeholders that Projective Group is serious about achieving our net zero pathway. Furthermore we want to be part of the solution, and are on hand to support organisations as they plan their own transition, and respond to increasing demand for disclosure from complex regulations such as the CSRD, ISSB and upcoming UK SRS.”
