BSI assists PPE manufacturers with conformity assessments and market surveillance procedures amidst COVID-19 pandemic

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the European Commission has published a recommendation on conformity assessment and market surveillance procedures for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This includes face masks, gloves, protective coveralls and eyewear protection.

As a Notified Body for the PPE Regulation, BSI is committed to ensure that adequate protection is swiftly made available to those who need it most, in line with the Commission’s recommendation. BSI’s experts are on hand to discuss the options available to clients and other manufacturers and to ensure compliant products can be placed on the market as quickly as possible so that medical professionals and first responders have access to the equipment they urgently need.
