BS 7671 is the UK's national standard for electrical installation and the safety of electrical wiring systems.
Covering circuits at voltages up to and including 1000V AC or 1500V DC, its regulations apply to the design, erection and verification of electrical installations, including additions and alterations to existing installations.
All electrical installations in the UK must comply with the requirements in BS 7671, which is designed for use by electrical systems designers, manufacturers, contractors, engineers, inspectors, and regulators.
