    The qualification gives you all the practical skills and detailed knowledge you need to confidently carry out a full environmental system (EMS) audit. Expert BSI trainers are your partner in learning for the duration of the qualification, and you can choose a face-to-face learning experience or use the online training courses to achieve the qualification. BSI will guide you through every step in the auditing process in line with the international management system auditing guidelines, ISO 19011:2018.

    On successful completion of your qualification, you’ll receive a BSI Mark of Trust that can be shared across within your organization and across your network of contacts. 

    • ISO 14001:2015 Requirements (1.5 days classroom – in-person or virtual)

      • Importance and benefits of an ISO 14001:2015 EMS
      • Key requirements, terms and definitions of ISO 14001:2015
      • Structure of ISO 14001:2015 which incorporates the Annex SL common framework for management system standards
      • Main concepts such as process approach, Plan-Do-Check-Act, lifecycle perspective, aspects and impacts

      ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor (5 days classroom – in-person or virtual)

      • Explain the purpose and benefits of environmental management systems
      • Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011
      • Gain the skills to plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit in accordance with ISO 19011 (and ISO 17021 where appropriate).

      Each module is followed by a mandatory online examination. Delegates must pass the examinations to be awarded the qualification.
