Providers must be registered to deliver certain supports, including:
a. Specialist disability accommodation
b. Specialist behaviour support services:
i. Developing behaviour support plans
ii. Implementing regulated restrictive practices, or are likely to implement them
c. Plan management services
d. Supports or services to NDIS participants with NDIA-managed funding
e. Residential aged care to NDIS participants living in your facility.
Several factors will determine the audit requirements for each business, including your organization's entity type, the supports and services delivered. Once your organization has submitted their application to the NDIS Commission you will receive an Initial Scope of Audit document (ISOA). This document will advise the criteria.

The NDIS Act requires audits in accordance to NDIS Practice Standards and Registration Rules.

Your BSI Client Service Officer assigned to your organization will talk you through the process every step of the way.
BSI is a leading provider of NDIS audits across Australia and as such has a team of NDIS auditors located across Australia. We have experienced client managers that will partner with you to understand your needs and determine the auditors with the correct competencies and codes to assign to your audit.
To book your organization's audit we require the Initial Scope of Audit (ISOA) document. For your audit assessment your organization should have developed policies and procedures related to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Provider Registration and Practice Standards) Rules 2018.

All NDIS audit reports undergo a third party technical review. Once reviewed, the report will be submitted to the NDIS Commission for their review. Reports are required to be submitted within the following timeframes:
• Verification audits - 14 days
• Certification audit - 28 days
• Mid-term audits – 28 days.
The Certificate of Registration is an important document; it defines the scope of your registration and any conditions your organization must adhere to in order to remain registered.

Once you receive your Certificate of Registration, BSI recommend sending your Certificate of Registration to the Customer Service Officer (CSO) who planned your audit. This will allow BSI to support your organization to understand your registration requirements including any special conditions applied to the registration and support planning any future audits.
