This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to become a Food Safety Supervisor in a retail environment.
How will I benefit?
You will be able to recognize safe food handling practices and instruct others on the safe storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food.
You will also learn personal hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses and your responsibilities as a Food Safety Supervisor to prevent food handlers handling food when they are ill.
You will be able to apply the food safety procedures and relevant regulatory requirements to your business, supervise compliance of other food handlers and take corrective actions to ensure food safety.
Who should attend?
Anyone who handles food in a retail, QSR, foodservice or restaurant business. This course is specifically intended for Food Safety Supervisors however any person who handles food in a food business would benefit from safe food handling practices.

What is included?
Assessment and Nationally Recognized Units
On completion of the Food Safety Supervisor course participants will have the option to complete an online multiple-choice exam.
Upon successful completion of the course and exam participants will receive nationally recognized units:
- SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety
- SIRRFSA001 Handle food safely in a retail environment
- SITXFSA006 Participate in safe food handling practices
