BSI at the Sydney Build Exposition 2017
As part of BSI’s commitment to develop and support the growing BIM environment, the team joined Sydney Build Expo 2017, represented by Richard Donarski, Head of Product Certification – Australia & New Zealand, Dushyant Sanathara, Business Development Manager for Medical Devices, and Chris Meehan, General Manager for Operations and Training.
The Australian Digital Construction & BIM Summit, which is part of the expo, is Australia’s largest event for BIM and Design Construction. The summit held various conference presentations and workshop discussions that covered an array of topics across BIM. The summit ended with a BIM panel discussion which was extremely informative. Different issues on BIM were tackled and it was emphasized that standardization of BIM should be applied and measured.
The team was also given a preview of BIMcreds – an online knowledge assessment tool for BIM that aims to qualify an individual’s skill set and understanding of BIM aspects.
The summit also featured breakout sessions on Climate Change Adaptation in the Built Environment, Energy Reduction Opportunities in Building Projects, Sustainability in Construction Projects, and What Makes a Building Sustainable.
