The British Standards Society (BSS) is the UK standard users' organization.
The aim of BSS is to promote the needs and interests of British Standards users, share and develop good practice in the use of British Standards, and contribute to British Standards development and implementations. This is achieved by:
- Providing the national platform to exchange experience of, share information on and propose development of British Standards
- Being the critical friend to BSI in its role of serving the standards community
- Supporting and promote awareness of the value of standards
- Providing the voice and, where appropriate, committee representation of British Standards users in British, European and international standardization
Joining BSS is free of charge and will help you to keep up-to-date with standards development and implementation. You'll also benefit from guidance, support and the practical experience of others in the application of standards. BSS feeds back users' views to BSI and operates via an online forum.
