Middle East and Africa Management Team

Vladimir joined BSI in June 2014 as a business development manager for Middle East and Africa, and at the beginning of 2021 has been made the acting sales/ commercial manager - Dubai and Saudi Arabia. In April 2021 he was promoted to general manager to be responsible for the sales of system certification and training businesses in MEA. Vladimir holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Land Transport Facilities.

He has more than 15 years of experience from working across range of industries including hospitality, retail, real estate and assurance where he was responsible for managing and cultivating new business opportunities for the development of long-term business partnerships by creating superior value for his clients. He has been working and living in the United Arab Emirates for over 17 years.

Dr. Mohannad joined BSI in January 2012. He has more than 14 years of experience in implementing and assessing management systems standards. With a strong background in risk management and auditing, he holds several professional qualifications such as NEBOSH certificate and ILM membership; currently, he is the general manager operations, Middle East and Africa.

During his career with BSI, Dr. Mohannad has been managing schemes like OSHAD, NCEMA, and ICXS from a technical perspective. Dr. Mohannad holds an MBA with Chifley Business School, Australia, and in 2019, he completed a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (DBA) specialized in risk management with SBS Swiss Business School.

Samuel is a graduate of Nottingham Business School and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with Corporate Finance. After graduating he joined BSI UK in 2013 as an international sales executive supporting the EMEA region, moving to Dubai in 2015 as business development manager.

Currently Samuel is BSI’s commercial manager for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region where he is responsible for driving BSI’s commercial agenda and managing the product certification commercial teams. Samuel has 9 years of experience with BSI working across various international markets and has spent the last 7 years living in the Middle East.

Olga is a ACCA qualified accountant with an MSc degree from Queen Mary's University of London. She has worked in several locations during her career in BSI giving her a good appreciation of our business. In 2009 she joined the shared financial services team as an assistant financial accountant, then worked as a management accountant for BSI Group before moving to our standards publishing business where she worked as a business analyst.

During her career she's had the opportunity to assist the internal audit team and visit other oversees offices. Olga moved to Dubai for the role of a financial controller in 2018 and been promoted to her current position as a finance manager for Middle East and Africa in 2020.

Pelin is a B2B marketing and communication professional experienced in Information Technology and Services industries in key multinationals at regional level covering Middle East, Turkey and Africa regions. She joined BSI in January 2019 as a Marketing Executive and demonstrated a continuous contribution to the overall business which led to her promotion as Digital Marketing Manager in January 2021 and Marketing Manager for Middle East and Africa in 2022.

She has 12 years of marketing experience with an educational background of Marketing and Communication masters degree.

Abdullah has an MSc degree in Medical Technology Regulatory Affairs, graduated 2019 from Cranfield University, UK. And a BSc degree in Biomedical Engineer, graduated 2011 from King Saud University, KSA.

Eng. Abdullah is Saudi national, born, educated and raised in KSA, he joined BSI in 2012 as a CAB Technical Reviewer supporting the Saudi Food and Drug Authority implementing their Interim Medical Device Regulations. After a successful completion of the project with SFDA, Eng. Abdullah has been promoted in 2018 to General Manager Saudi Arabia with an assignment of establishing, running, and growing the Assurance business in KSA.
