IAF announce ISO 9001/ISO 14001 audits must be carried out to 2015 versions from March 2018
22nd November 2017
With less than a year to go in the three-year transition period for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) have announced that as of 15th March 2018, certification bodies must conduct all ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits to the 2015 versions.
This means that your next BSI assessment for either standard must be to the new standard whether it’s an initial, surveillance or recertification assessment. Failure to achieve certification to the 2015 standard by the deadline means that your certification is no longer valid. This may affect your ability to service all markets so it’s important that you are prepared.
The IAf, the global association for developing the principles and practices for the conduct of conformity assessment, advise any organisations who need to move to the new version of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 should contact their conformity assessment body as soon as possible.
To help make your transition as smooth as possible we have a wide range of support material to help you and you can still book training with BSI on the new standards.
If you have any questions or want to book training, please call +971 4 336 1917 or email bsi.me@bsigroup.com.
