Emirates Post 1st postal entity to achieve TISSE 2012 certification
Emirates Post Group (EPG) has been presented with The International Standard for Service Excellence (TISSE 2012) certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI) Middle East & Africa.
The prestigious certification was presented to Emirates Post Group’s acting CEO Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Ashram by Ms. Sarah Taylor, deputy director UKTI at the British Embassy, Dubai, at a special ceremony held at Emirates Post Group head office in Dubai, attended by top officials from BSI Middle East & Africa and Emirates Post Group.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Abdullah Al Ashram, said: “It is very satisfying to know that we are the first postal organisation in the world to achieve this certification, as nothing is more valuable than getting an international endorsement through a prestigious certification label such as TISSE. The high scores earned by EPG reflect our unflinching customer service standards and relentless pursuit of excellence.”
The outstanding scores achieved by EPG have placed it at an international Benchmarking level as per TISSE standards and criteria.
The Certification Assessment Report was released by the British Standards Institution (BSI) following assessments held during the month of October, 2016, under the 5 P’s laid down by TISSE: Policies, Products/Services, Premises, Processes and People, along with measurement of performance and results.
The assessment was conducted by a team from BSI Middle East and Africa at key departments in EPG head office, and the Central Post Offices of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The certificate will be presented to EPG at a special function to be held soon.
EPG began implementing the standards required by TISSE in May this year as per an action plan to meet the stringent criteria laid down by the certification body under the 5 P’s model.
The TISSE certification was awarded by British Standards Institution (BSI), which is a Royal Charter company since 1929 and is the UK National Standards Body.
