Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport Receives ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 27001: 2013 Certification

The Integrated ITS Division of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport has successfully gained certification in ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System and ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System from BSI (The British Standards Institution).

This achievement is a recognition of the division to be the first organization in the UAE to fulfill all the quality and information security requirements in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems.

The certificates were received on behalf of Eng. Khalid Mohamed Hashim – Acting Executive Director of Surface Transport Sector by Eng. Salah Mohamed Al Marzouqi –Director of Integrated ITS Division from Mr. Ahmad Al Khatib – General manager assurance BSI Middle East and Africa. In addition, Eng. Mohamed Hussain Shalwani, and Engineer Saeed Mohammed Sulaiman Ibrahim have gained the Lead Auditor in Information Security Management systems qualification.

These achievements reflect the Department’s commitment to ensure continuous improvements in the quality of services delivered to internally and externally.
