BANAGAS awarded ISO 20000-1 Certification

The Bahrain National Gas Company (BANAGAS) has been awarded ISO 20000-1 Certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI) for an IT Service Management System. The move has also made it the first company in the oil and gas sector in Bahrain to receive this prestigious award.

ISO 20000 is the first standard of its kind in the world that focuses on information technology services management and the quality of services and management of information technology solutions.

Middle East & Africa Regional Manager, Mr Theuns Kotze and Mr Hany Al Taher, from BSI, presented the certificate to BANAGAS’ Chief Executive, Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa in the presence of General Manager Administration and Finance Mohamed Al Hosani, and Manager Finance and IT Fuad Mubarak. 

Dr. Shaikh Mohammed said, “This certificate is the result of the dedicated efforts and team work of our employees and particularly IT employees.”
