TRA receives ISO 27001 certification
The General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector (TRA) announced that its IT Department has been awarded ISO 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS). This achievement reflects TRA’s commitment to implementing highest standards of information security and risk management.
The General Authority for Regulating the Telecommunications Sector (TRA) received this award from the British Standards Institution (BSI). The certificate was handed to H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori at the GITEX Exhibition by Ahmad Al Khatib, General Manager for Assurance, BSI Group Middle East and Africa.
H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, UAE TRA Director General, said: “We are delighted to receive the ‘ISO 27001’ certificate, which is a significant milestone in our journey to implementing highest standards in maintaining information management and security. Receiving this award affirms that we are on the right track towards achieving our goals, as we are aiming to enhance customers’ experience by maintaining high information security and controlling information management risks.”
