Msheireb Properties awarded the international ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management Standard
Doha, Qatar; March 16, 2013: Msheireb Properties, a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation, hosted its 3rd annual Risk Management Forum in Doha at the Four Seasons hotel.
The theme of this year’s forum was Risk Management in Practice which involved taking a more in-depth look at the practical aspects of risk management while focusing on the global experience relevant to the Gulf region.
Attending the forum was a diverse mix of experts from a range of industries, such as auditors, consultants, engineers, contractors, healthcare and IT experts, oil & gas professionals, project and program managers, real estate developers. The forum featured a rich agenda where a number of industry experts spoke on key issues including, mitigating project risk, safeguarding national information and communications systems, managing cyber risks and getting to grips with the human factor in risk.

During the forum, Theuns Kotzé- Regional Managing Director – BSI Middle East and Africa said: “Risk Management is a critical component in the most organisation’s operations and one that has major cost implications.
