Missed agreed submission date for technical documentation
BSI works to ensure we schedule your technical documentation review around your current product lifecycle strategy, as noted in your completed Device Schedule. The reserved time allows you predictability in planning your go-to-market activities. Once we have a designated agreed date with you, BSI prepares to receive your completed submissions and commence your robust review.
Unfortunately, over recent months we have faced a steep increase in the number of clients who are not able to have a complete submission ready for the pre-agreed date and have missed the scheduled review deadline.
When clients miss a review date, we try to reschedule and meet your requirements. However, our team of experts are a finite resource with specialized skills. As such, we are finding it increasingly difficult to manage the need to move dates of our thorough reviews and ensure the correct qualified team members are free to work on your submission.
Are you struggling to meet the submission date?
If, for any reason, you believe you will miss the agreed submission date, please inform BSI urgently so that we can adjust our allocation of resources. We will try to accommodate your requests, but we cannot guarantee a date that will suit your strategic plans unless we have a sufficient notice period.
If you do not inform us that you will not meet the pre-agreed date within two months of the date, we will now include a planning charge for the late notice of delay to cover the additional work created by the missed deadline.
Therefore, we ask you to keep us updated on any possible delay to the timeline we agree on at the start of your application.
